WHO WE ARE

​Our first camp operated out of Alma College, St. Thomas in the summer of 1992 with 72 campers in attendance. In 2018, we were operating on the grounds of Huron University College with nearly 800 campers enjoying our summer camp. CAMP OK is a safe and nurturing environment where young people can grow and flourish. It is a total theatre experience where children can blossom as performers. Theatre however is not the only aspect of CAMP OK! We also offer lunchtime activities, water events and loads of games, but most importantly FUN. CAMP OK! is an attitude - an atmosphere of support. It is an environment in which kids and young adults can express themselves openly. Sarah Van Eerdewijk

Sarah has been a part of Original Kids Theatre since 2008 in a variety of roles. She has been an Original Kid herself (for seven years), as well as a Box Office Team Leader, Stage Manager, Kidlets Counsellor and a Youth Advisor on the Board of Directors at Original Kids. Since Sarah was 10 years old she attended Camp OK and continued to do so until she was able to apply to work there. From there Sarah was a SKIT, a counsellor, a Senior Counsellor, the LEAD Coordinator, the Leadership Coordinator and now the Camp Director. Sarah has worked consecutively for seven years at Camp OK. Currently, Sarah is in her fourth year of her undergraduate degree at King's University College, completing and Honors Specialization in Psychology. She is working on her Honors Thesis which is primarily focused on investigating the executive functioning of children ages 4-8 years old. In the fall Sarah hopes to pursue Teachers College and work in the Primary/Junior age cohort. She is eager to start her new journey as the Camp Director of Camp OK. 
Camp OK is a safe environment where youth can develop and grow among friends. We are located in London, Ontario on the grounds of Huron College (1349 Western Road N6G 1H3). Theatre is not the only aspect of Camp OK… we also offer lunchtime games, sports activities, water events and lots of crazy camp fun!
