ABOUT US
Original Kidlets, which began in 2001, is a special part of the Original Kids Theatre. It was developed to encourage 5-9 year olds to explore self-expression and creativity through theatre, music, movement and art. Kidlets is an introductory theatre program to help develop social skills and friendship during an early age!
Kidlets Director
Jackson Gilson
Jackson has completed his undergrad at King’s University College, and is attending teacher’s college at Western University. Jackson’s first experience with Original Kids was the main cast, which he was a member of for 7 years. During the Fall of 2017, Jackson joined the Kidlets team as a Counselor and since then, he has used his passion for the arts and leadership skills to create an inclusive and fun environment at Kidlets. Jackson believes that the opportunities for creativity and self expression at Kidlets help children develop crucial skills and fosters their academic, physical and socio-emotional development. Jackson assumed the role of Kidlets Director during the summer of 2021, and he is very excited to share his love of the arts and help each Kidlet grow throughout the program!
