- What is Virtual Camp OK?
Virtual Camp OK is an alternate camp experience that will be offered online. Virtual Camp will be run by CampOK counsellors and will provide daily programming for campers. Virtual Camp OK is the perfect way for your child to get some social interaction through fun games and activities from the comfort and safety of your own home. - What is the price of Virtual Camp OK?
$105.00 per one week session (plus an additional $10.00 for contactless delivery of your Camp OK virtual box!) - Where and when can I register?
Registration will open Wednesday June 17, 2020 at 12:00pm and registration will be online only. - Are there age restrictions?
If you can go to Camp OK you can go to virtual Camp OK! ( Ages 7+) - What if my 5 or 6 year old Kidlet would like to register for virtual camp OK?
Great! We simply ask a parent is on the call with them. If this is okay please send us an email to virtualcampok@oktc.ca with a phone number and we will complete the registration for you! - When does Virtual Camp OK run?
Virtual Camp runs Monday - Friday with online components from 9:00am - 10:30am. There are offline components that campers can enjoy outside of our scheduled programming time. Virtual Camp OK has 8 sessions and each session is 1 week long. - What is included in our $105.00 tuition?
Our tuition includes daily Zoom calls with some of the Camp OK staff where we take part in fun interactive online and offline activities, as well as a Camp OK virtual box filled with crafts and games for the week. - What is the refund policy?
Because it is so close to the start of Virtual Camp and we need to confirm our staffing numbers there will be no refunds offered. - Does Virtual Camp OK run on weekends/holidays?
Virtual Camp OK does not run on weekends but it does run on holidays. - What does a day at Virtual Camp look like?
Virtual Camp OK begins with a zoom that starts at 9am. We start with our flagpole ceremony and play some warmup games as a group. Afterwards, we begin our planned live activity for the day! Then we move on to our wrap-up activity and talk about what’s to come tomorrow. Once the live zoom is done our campers are welcome to work on any of the extra off-line activities provided. - How does the delivering of the box work?
If the camper lives in London or surrounding areas Original Kids will deliver your box contactless to your homes. The box will be delivered on the Saturday prior to the week of camp, unless contacted by us. - What online resources will Virtual Camp OK be utilizing?
Virtual Camp OK will be using Zoom, Padlet, YouTube and Kahoot for our programming. - What is Zoom?
Zoom is an encrypted web conferencing platform that we will be running Virtual Camp on. Virtual Camp OK will be using private links so only the campers and counsellors will be on the call and it is free to use for our Camp OK family's. - What is Padlet?
Padlet is an online virtual “bulletin” board, where our campers can post and share their answers to the phunny phrases, puzzle of the day and images of completed crafts. Our Padlet is sent on a private link, requires no individual login from our campers and is free! - How is Virtual Camp OK using YouTube?
Virtual Camp OK will be using private YouTube links for our pre-recorded programming as well as for our end of the week talent show which will be shown to only our registered campers. - What is Kahoot?

What is included in the box & what will I need at home to complete the activities?
What will I need at home to complete the activities? For our activities, camp families can provide their campers markers or pencil crayons, glue, tape, scissors (with parent approval) and pencils. |
