Have you ever wanted something so badly that you'd do just about anything to achieve that goal? This season, our Original Kids will be challenged to be bold, stand up for what they believe in, and never give up! Even when things get difficult... you'll find your way!

Whether you're a small fish in the big blue world, a student who just wants to dance with her girlfriend at the prom, a misfit trying to save their inn and their town, or a pirate ready to strike off on his own, don't let the tough times discourage you. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep going!

We invite our audiences to join the Original Kids as they make their marks on school, boldly traverse new lands, unravel mysteries, embark upon magical quests, reboot their favourite stories, discover their unique powers, and (for better or for worse!) make their dreams and desires come true. Let our Original Kids inspire you to never give up on achieving your goals. Be brave, take chances, make mistakes, learn, and grow!

Oliver Jr.

July 18 to 21, 2024

The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.

In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other — the chance to return to life. This popular musical is a funny, moving look at what makes a life well-lived!

The Pirates of Penzance JR.

June 6 - 9, 2024

Set on the rocky coast of Cornwall, England, The Pirates of Penzance Jr. begins with a group of pirates who are celebrating the birthday of one of their own, Frederic, who has reached his 21st year. Finally having served the full length of his required time with the pirates, he decides to strike off on his own and become an upstanding citizen – which may even mean bringing the pirates to justice. Thus turns out to be a tricky prospect indeed, especially when Frederic's freedom is called into question! ​

Disney's Finding Nemo Jr.

MARCH 8 -16, 2024 

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Not an ordinary lab, SynCryn has the original narrative DNA for every story on ice, and a plan to save the world from story obliteration. It’s an easy rebootilization process… so long as there aren’t any glitches in the software, or the director doesn’t go crazy, or the stories thaw out too quickly, or pirates get loose. If none of those things happen, it’s foolproof.

The dragon is back in town! Well… not really. That’s the story a ragtag band of innkeepers makes up, desperate to draw questing heroes to the struggling Dancing Dragon Inn. Soon the inn is full of unexpected guests, from an army of princesses out to prove their bravery, to a group of overwhelmed heroes trying to hold onto their fame. But what happens if they all discover the innkeepers’ dragon story is made up? Could there be more than one way to save the day? An epic folk-rock score brings magic to this funny, heartfelt fantasy musical.

Stephen King’s classic novel comes to life onstage. Carrie White is a teenage outcast who longs to fit in. At school, she’s bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. What none of them know is that Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it.

Carrie: The Musical: includes strobe lights, fog, and startling sounds. It includes depictions of bullying and violence, as well as discussions of sensitive topics and language that some may find offensive.

Jeff Kinney’s popular character takes center stage as Greg’s cartoon diary becomes a hilarious and heartfelt musical. Will Greg’s plans to become popular lead him to sacrifice his one true friend? From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who just want to score some goals.

PLEASE NOTE: This production takes place at Good Foundation Theatre in Fanshawe’s School of Digital and Performing Arts (137 Dundas Street London). The theatre is directly across the road from the Covent Garden Market. There will be signage and you will be able to enter the theatre through Market Lane.

Musicville

MUSICVILLE takes you on an adventure with Maiden Melody and Radical Rhythm as they attempt to save their town from the Sorcerer of Silence. On their quest to the Castle of Composition, they pass through the Desert of Doo-wop, the Ocean of Opera, and the Terrible Terrain of Tango meeting musical friends and foes along the way. Their journey teaches them about new kinds of music, overcoming obstacles, and the importance of working together!
